iPad is more used in the Web Internet than iPhones

It is not surprising that iPad owners are getting on top in terms of web browsing than the iPhone or any smartphones out there. It is the device usage and size that makes it more comfortable in surfing the web rather than using a computer, laptop or smartphones(iPhone). With its lightweight and just the right screen size. It is the preferable choice than using am iPhone(smartphone) (screen to small) or a computer/laptop(too heavy and bulky).

Tablet ownership continues to be prevalent among young, wealthy males. ComScore found that 54.7% of tablet owners using the web in August were male, and nearly a third were between ages 25 and 34. Almost half were members of households that earned more than $100,000 per year.

And what are tablet owners using their devices for? Nearly 60% are accessing social networking sites and consuming news on their devices. Approximately 25% are reading news on those devices on a near-daily basis.

Shopping is also a popular pastime. In August, 56% of tablet owners looked up product or price information from a specific store, and 54% read customer ratings and reviews. Nearly half of tablet owners actually completed a purchase on the device.

iCloud for iOS5 Website now Available

Finally, the iCloud website is now open to everyone who wants to experience the Cloud service (there is a free package) from apple. Though it is avalable only for those who are using the latest version of Mac OS X Lion or iOS 5, neither of which has officially been released yet.

It is a good strategy again for Apple to show first the site even if it cannot be used yet because of the update releases and also encourage Mac and iPhone users to upgrade their OS’s respectively.

Steve Wozniak Tribute Message to Steve Jobs Death

The two built and marketed the first personal computer to generate color graphics, the Apple II. Jobs would go on to become the showman and the mastermind behind revolutionary products such as the iPod, iPhone and iPad.

Although the two didn’t stay as close through the decades, they remained in touch.

Wozniak was among millions mourning Jobs’ death on Wednesday at 56.

We’ve lost something we won’t get back,” Wozniak said in a phone interview with The Associated Press. “The way I see it, though, the way people love products he put so much into creating means he brought a lot of life to the world.

Wozniak wiped away tears in a separate AP video interview.

Jobs “gets a reputation for being a strong leader and for being brash. But to me he was always so kind, such a good friend,” he said.

Sergey Brin Tribute Message to Steve Jobs

From the earliest days of Google, whenever Larry and I sought inspiration for vision and leadership, we needed to look no farther than Cupertino. Steve, your passion for excellence is felt by anyone who has ever touched an Apple product (including the macbook I am writing this on right now). And I have witnessed it in person the few times we have met.

On behalf of all of us at Google and more broadly in technology, you will be missed very much. My condolences to family, friends, and colleagues at Apple.
