#GCash, a top financial application, has joined forces with #Lazada Philippines, a leading e-commerce platform, via its lending subsidiary, Fuse Lending, Inc. The alliance was formalized by Anthony Isidro, President and CEO of Fuse Lending, Baby Aquino, Fuse’s Chief Strategy and Product Officer, Kevin Yu, GLoan’s Product Head, and Benjamin Ng, Lazada’s Head of Seller Financing. The inauguration ceremony took place recently at Bonifacio Global City.
Fuse Lending is the inaugural partner to fully incorporate a seller loan product within the Lazada Philippines Seller Center application. This collaboration enables Fuse to extend its reach to micro, small, and medium enterprises beyond the GCash platform, while also allowing Lazada to provide loans to its sellers.
Anthony Isidro, President and CEO of Fuse Lending, expressed his delight at being Lazada Philippines’ chosen partner in offering their vast network of small business owners with cash loans that are more accessible, secure, and convenient as they continue to expand their presence in the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector, the backbone of the Philippine economy.
Earlier this year, GCash and Lazada Philippines initiated the program with a select group of sellers and are now planning to broaden their user base on the eCommerce platform in the upcoming months.
This collaboration aligns with the digital roadmap of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, which seeks to enhance the current digital payments and digital financial inclusion landscape by making 50% of the country’s retail transaction volumes digital. Furthermore, this partnership underscores the concerted efforts of both fintech and e-commerce powerhouses to ensure effective access to a broad spectrum of digital financial services for all, particularly the underserved sectors.
Benjamin Ng, Head of Seller Financing at Lazada, expressed his excitement about offering Lazada Seller Loans in collaboration with Fuse Lending.
