Carlo Malana, the President and CEO of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) Philippines, has been honored with the esteemed Silver Stevie® Award for Most Innovative Leader of the Year at the Asia-Pacific Stevie® Awards. This award recognizes the extraordinary leadership and vision of individuals and organizations that have demonstrated exceptional innovation and progressive thinking in their respective domains.

Jomai Solano, STT GDC Philippines’ Chief Finance Officer, and Chrissie Legaspi, Head of Strategy Execution and Marketing, accepted the award on behalf of Malana at the ceremony held at Shangri-la, The Fort on May 24, 2024.

Under Malana’s stewardship, STT GDC Philippines has achieved significant milestones, reinforcing its status as a leader in the country’s digital infrastructure landscape.
Among the company’s most noteworthy accomplishments is the launch of two next-generation data center projects, which are advancing digital infrastructure in the region with top-tier, hyperscale-ready data center solutions.
The first of these facilities, STT Cavite 2, is a two-story building spanning over 4,500 square meters, designed to provide up to 6 megawatts of total IT capacity. The second, the STT Fairview data center campus, is a pre-LEED Gold-certified facility that covers over 83,000 square meters across four buildings, with the potential to deliver 124 megawatts of IT load capacity when fully operational.
STT GDC Philippines has also earned the prestigious Uptime III Certification for its STT Cavite 1 facility and strategically increased capacity by 5.2MW, solidifying its path towards becoming an industry leader. The facility also received the Asia Pacific Cloud & Datacenter Award in the Projects category by W.Media, a prominent technology publisher and community hub in Asia Pacific.
The company anticipates serving clients soon, with the construction of STT Fairview 1 slated to commence service by early 2025.
