Globe has initiated its VoLTE (Voice over LTE) roaming services, starting with collaborations across Asia and the US. This groundbreaking solution guarantees that Globe customers can experience seamless high-quality voice calls and text messaging, even as overseas networks phase out their traditional 2G and 3G infrastructure.
As of July, Globe has extended VoLTE roaming to prime locations such as Japan via Softbank, Australia via Optus, Hong Kong via CSL, Taiwan via Taiwan Mobile, Macau via CTM, and the USA via T-Mobile & AT&T.
Italy is also on the horizon via TIM and Wind.
VoLTE empowers users to utilize LTE networks for crystal-clear voice calls, texts, and simultaneous mobile data usage without depending on older technologies. It offers continuous connectivity, quicker call setup, and the capacity to use voice and data simultaneously - all at no additional cost beyond standard roaming rates.
