GlobeRemain Active Amid Typhoon Carina and Habagat #AlagangGlobe Extends Aid to Impacted Customers

Despite the relentless rains and floods triggered by Typhoon Carina and the southwest monsoon, Globe’s network and core services continue to function. #AlagangGlobe

On Wednesday, despite the typhoon’s impact, call, text, and data services remained operational, with sporadic interruptions due to commercial power outages. Globe has strategically positioned personnel for immediate response in the event of a network emergency.

Yoly Crisanto, Globe’s Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer, assures customers that their network is prepared for any potential impact of the typhoon and the intensified habagat on their infrastructure. Their network facilities nationwide are built for resilience, equipped with standby generators and batteries in case of commercial power outages.

Persistent rains and widespread flooding, exacerbated by Carina, continued to plague Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon on Wednesday, leading to the closure of major roads around the metro.

PAGASA forecasts moderate to intense rains over various areas in the western portion of Luzon until Thursday. Malacañang has suspended government work and classes at all levels in Metro Manila, while private companies have permitted employees to work from home.

The public is advised to stay informed and access verified weather reports. Globe offers free data access to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) website.
