Champions of the Second Leg of vivo’s 3x3 Basketball Challenge at SM City

The second leg of the vivo 3x3 Basketball Challenge brought a wave of excitement to the southern side at SM Dasmariñas on July 28, 2024. Strengthening its partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA), vivo continues to engage with basketball communities across the Philippines, drawing a large crowd of players and fans eager for the upcoming basketball challenges.

 

The enthusiasm for basketball was palpable from the remarkable number of registrants from different parts of Cavite for the competition’s second stop, open to all Filipinos aged 19 and above.

Four teams from both the men’s and women’s categories emerged victorious in this exhilarating second leg of the basketball competition, securing their spots in the highly anticipated grand finals.

Men’s Division Winners In the Men’s Category, the triumphant teams include:

• Bagong Cabuyao
• CJHA - B

Women’s Division Champions In the Women’s Category, the leading teams are:

• KENGS
• Generals
• DAYO
• CJHA

Victory in Their Veins Aguilas B demonstrated their basketball skills in the men’s category, with each thrilling shot bringing them closer to victory. “We couldn’t sleep because we were so excited. We had a great experience in this league,” exclaimed Jonard, a member of Aguilas B, when asked about his team’s significant win in the basketball challenge.

On the other hand, KENGS dominated the women’s division and emerged as champions. “We are grateful to vivo for giving us the chance to play here, especially the women,” shared Maui from KENGS, all smiles.

Cheering with Dance A basketball game isn’t complete without a dance performance. The NU Street Dance Group, performing as special guests, brought their street-style flair to the court! Their performance, filled with dynamic movements and striking choreography, energized all the spectators!
