Players can now pre-purchase the FINAL FANTASY XVI Standard Edition, which includes the base game, or the Complete Edition, which features the DLC chapters “Echoes of the Fallen” and “The Rising Tide” at a discounted price. Additionally, players can purchase the DLC chapters individually or as part of the FINAL FANTASY XVI Expansion Pass at launch.

FINAL FANTASY XVI introduces players to an original standalone story set in the realm of Valisthea, a land blessed by the light of the Mothercrystals. As the Blight threatens to destroy their dominions, the fate of the land is decided by the Eikons, mighty summoned beasts, and their Dominants, individuals blessed with the ability to wield them. The story follows Clive Rosfield, a warrior known as the “First Shield of Rosaria,” who is sworn to protect his younger brother Joshua, the Dominant of the Phoenix, Eikon of Fire. Clive’s journey takes a tragic turn as he seeks revenge on the Dark Eikon, Ifrit, a mysterious entity that brings calamity.

- Echoes of the Fallen: Unlocks new story, battles, weapons, accessories, level cap, and more. Players will investigate dark crystals circulating on the black market, leading them to the Sagespire and its secrets.
- The Rising Tide: Adds new story, battles, sidequests, weapons, accessories, level cap, and more. Players will explore the hidden land of Mysidia and battle the legendary water Eikon, Leviathan the Lost. This DLC also introduces the Kairos Gate, featuring 20 stages of intense scored and ranked battles.
